stock-x ("Travis", "we") is a portfolio-intelligence product. This policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and a salted password hash when you create an account.
- Brokerage data (read-only) — if you connect a brokerage, we receive holdings, balances, and positions through SnapTrade's secure OAuth connection. We never see or store your brokerage username or password, and we have no ability to place, modify, or cancel trades.
- Usage data — basic request logs and, for the chat assistant, message and token counts used for cost accounting.
- Cookies — a signed session cookie to keep you logged in. No advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
- To render your portfolio dashboard, analytics, and research signals.
- To operate the chat assistant (queries may be processed by the AI providers listed below).
- To secure the service and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers below.
3. Service providers
- SnapTrade — read-only brokerage connectivity.
- Stripe — payment processing (we never store card numbers).
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and security.
- Anthropic / OpenAI — chat-assistant processing (conversation content only; never your credentials).
4. Data retention & deletion
We retain account and portfolio data while your account is active. You may disconnect a brokerage at any time (which stops all data flow), and you may request full deletion of your account and data by emailing vfychen98@gmail.com — we honor requests within 30 days.
5. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Brokerage connectivity is OAuth-based and read-only. Secrets are stored in managed, encrypted infrastructure; portfolio data is served only to authenticated sessions.
6. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
